Discoaster hayi Bukry, 1969
Stellate pentalith with segments meeting at angles of approximately 70–75°. In well‑preserved specimens, one side of the central area (where segments are connected) bears small cavities and a star‑shaped ornamentation directed toward the narrow gaps between segments. The opposite side of the central area displays a platform formed by the adjoining segments (see Moshkovitz, 1987).
