Corollithion praesignum Varol, in prep.
Small, regular hexagonal species of Corollithion characterised by a double protolith wall surrounding a central area occupied by a Greek cross.
The narrow outer wall remains in constant extinction, whereas the wider inner wall and the central cross exhibit greyish-white interference colours in plan view under crossed polars.
Corollithion praesignum differs from Corollithion signum in having a regular hexagonal outline and a Greek cross with equal arms, whereas the latter exhibits an elongated hexagonal outline and a standard cross with one arm longer than the other.
