Remarks

The Middle Cenomanian forms described in this study exhibit morphological similarities to Santonian-Campanian Zeugrhabdotus kerguelenensis. However, the specimen illustrated herein possesses a proximal rim but lacks the proto-inner wall characteristic of Zeugrhabdotus embergeri. In contrast, the Zeugrhabdotus embergeri-like proto-inner wall is evident in the specimen illustrated by Watkins (1992) in Plate 2, Figure 9. Furthermore, the three photographs of the holotypes appear to depict distinct specimens, casting doubt on the validity of Zeugrhabdotus kerguelenensis.
