Nannoconus Kamptner, 1931

Remarks

Laminated coccolith in conical, globular or cylindrical in the side view. Corse to fine laminated plates is spirally arranged around an axial cavity or canal. The angle of laminated plates with horizontal plane varies greatly. It appears circular or angular at plan view. C-axis is tangential in polarised light.
