Diagnosis

A complex, delicate geometric structure resembling a tessellation or modular design consists of layers of rhombuses arranged so that the segments interlock to form hexagonal patterns within the overall structure.

Etymology

From the Greek kompso schedio, meaning “elegant design,” referring to its elegant appearance.
