Erlendmartinia svastika Varol, 2025a
Nannoturba joceliniorum Steurbaut & Nolf, 2021; This species is considered invalid according to ICN Art. 41, as it was published in combination with the invalid genus Nannoturba.
An intricate, elaborate geometric structure composed of interlocking elongated segments arranged in layers to form cuboid or swastika-like patterns.
The name is derived from the Greek word svastika (or swastika), referring to the swastika-like shape of its long segments.
Maximum Diameter = 13.25 μm; Diameter of the central structure = 5.72 μm (both measured in XPL).
Optical Properties: The segments arranged in a swastika-like pattern exhibit parallel (straight) extinction.
