Ethmorhabdus camaratus Bukry, 1969

Description

Species of Ralphsalomonia are constructed of cretarhabdid shields and a tube cycle surrounding a large central area spanned by a diagonal cross that supports a distal process. The inter-cross area is occupied by numerous pentagonal pores arranged in two or more complete concentric cycles. The number of pores in the outer cycle is typically 1o-20.

Optical Properties

The entire species exhibits first-order, greyish-white interference colours. The pelaga of Ralphsalomonia camarata exhibits inclined extinction and length-fast (-) elongation in their natural settling position, in plan view under crossed polars.
