Cyclagelosphaera brezae Applegate & Bergen, 1988

Remarks

Large (>8.0 μm) species of Cyclagelosphaera exhibit a closed central area and a very narrow proximal shield. Cyclagelosphaera brezae differs from Cyclagelosphaera paucisegmenta by having a larger number of segments (about 30) and a very narrow proximal shield, approximately 1/3 of the distal shield. In contrast, Cyclagelosphaera paucisegmenta has about 20 segments, and the size differences of its shields are negligible.
