Length: 10.0µm
Medium to large (5.0-12.0 μm) elliptical species of Cribrocentrum comprises a permanent cover in the central area with a single cycle of large pores and a non-porous central field. The holotype of Cribrocentrum ornatum is 10.0 μm, featuring a cycle of round pores and a non-porous central field on the cover of the central area. The holotypes of Dictyococcites callidus (7.1 μm, with a cycle of elongated pores) and Dictyococcites onustus (7.3 μm, with a cycle of round pores) also have central covers in the central area with a single cycle of large pores and a non-porous central field. Therefore, both species are considered synonyms of Cribrocentrum ornatum.
