Cylindralithus serratus Bramlette & Martini, 1964
A loxolith consists of a protolith outer wall that remains in constant extinction in the plan view, a low inner wall composed of overlapping segments exhibiting first-order greyish- white to yellow interference colours in the plan view, and a vacant central area.
Due to their high height-to-width ratio, species of Cylindralithus often naturally settle on their sides. Cylindralithus serratus, Cylindralithus crassus and Cylindralithus sculptus retain their classification within Cylindralithus due to their vacant central areas. In contrast, species featuring a central cross are reassigned to Stoverius.
