Helicosphaera philippinensis Müller, 1980
A small, sub-quadrate helicolith characterised by an asymmetrical Type II blanket (Helicosphaerella recta type), a truncated flange termination, and a central opening spanned by an inverse conjunct bar.
Helicosphaerella philippinensis is distinguished from Helicosphaerella orientalis by the presence of an inverse conjunct bar in the central area, whereas the latter has a fully closed central area.
