Medium to large spinose holococcolith having a proximal base and a distal process. The distal process has four quadrants divided by X-shape septa [can be seen in plan view] and tapering uniformly to blunt termination.
The base has a large cavity that opens proximally, whilst the distal process has a narrow axial canal. The entire specimen is birefringent at the side view
Zygrhablithus bijugatus is distinguished from Zygrhablithus sileensis Varol (1989b) by lacking cone shape termination.
