A helicolith characterised by a Type III (Helicosphaera carteri type) blanket, an expanded flange termination, and a central opening bridged by a conjunct oblique bar. In Helicosphaera wallichii, both elongated pores are parallel and oriented obliquely. In contrast, Helicosphaera consimilis features one oblique pore, while the other, located closer to the anterior side, is nearly aligned with the long axis of the helicolith. Helicosphaera wallichii exhibits inclined extinction angles of approximately 58° on the blanket on the distal side and displays length-fast (−) elongation.
