Discolithus apocresis Kamptner, 1967
A Pontosphaera species is characterised by relatively high walls and a proximal plate with pores arranged in two complete concentric cycles, with randomly arranged pores potentially present in the centre. The distal cover over the proximal plate is low, resulting in distinctly weaker interference colours in the central area compared to the wall in the plan view under XPL.
