Discolithus rorsus Kamptner, 1967
Pontosphaera rorsa exhibits uniform interference colours in XPL, resulting from the similar height of the wall and distal cover over the proximal plate. The proximal plate is characterised by large square pores arranged in two to three complete concentric cycles, with additional randomly arranged pores possibly present in the centre. The species displays first-order white interference colours, inclined extinction lines, and length-fast (−) elongation in the plan view.
