Large [10.0 - 14.0 µm], elliptical species of Reiculofenestra Hay, Mohler & Wade (1966) having distinctly wide tube cycle.
Reticulofenestra pelycomorpha differs from similar-sized Reticulofenestra caucasica Hay, Mohler & Wade (1966) by having a very wide tube cycle.
